- Maxios uses Google Vertex AI/Gemini for AI-powered meal estimates, voice food logging, chat answers, and workout-plan assistance.
- Maxios asks for in-app permission before sending personal data for AI processing.
- Users can decline AI processing and keep using non-AI logging and tracking features.

## What may be sent

- AI request data can include chat messages, prompts, food descriptions, meal photos, nutrition-label photos, voice recordings, transcripts, barcode or label text, and typed instructions.
- Personalization context can include profile details, nutrition targets, food logs, recent meals, workouts, active plans, exercise logs, body-weight entries, language, subscription eligibility, and usage-limit status.
- Maxios does not send passwords, full payment-card details, phone contacts, unrelated photo library, or precise location to Google Vertex AI/Gemini.

## Google processing

- Google Vertex AI/Gemini processes request data to generate results and support safety, abuse prevention, reliability, debugging, and service operation.
- Google Cloud states that Vertex AI customer data is not used to train or fine-tune AI/ML models without the customer’s prior permission or instruction.
